About this file
This document contains an initial spares parts list and supporting documentation requirements for the F-16 Brake Control System Redesign solicitation. The solicitation is being issued by the Defense Logistics Agency Aviation to support continued operations of the F-16 aircraft throughout its remaining service life. The initial spares parts list is required to identify all components, assemblies, and support items required to operate and maintain the end item. It must also specify the quantity of support items needed to maintain the end item for an initial service period. The list of common and bulk items identifies materials that are difficult to include in the parts list but are needed to support end item operation. Design change notices are also required to specify any approved changes to the initial spares parts list. Additionally, long lead items with a production lead time greater than 18 months must be identified.

1. Items such as parts, materials connecting cable, piping and fittings required for the operation and maintenance of the end item, component or assembly.
2. Range and quantity of support items required to maintain the end item for an initial period of service.
3. All reparable contractor off-the-shelf (COTS) items unless excluded by the procuring activity.
4. Items of common and special design hardware such as nuts, bolts, screws, keys, washers and fittings.
5. Electrical and electronic parts such as connectors, contacts, resistors, capacitors, transistors, diodes, etc.
COMMON AND BULK ITEMS LIST:
1. Identify those items that are difficult or impractical to list on a top-down assembly parts list sequence but are required to support the operation of the end item/equipment.
2. Identify material and specifications including material type, grade, class, etc.
3. Identify bulk items such as; electrical wire and cables, gasket material, tubing, hose, adhesives, paints, oils, grease, solvents and metal and plastic stocks, e,g, rods and sheets.
4. Identify peculiar, seldom rolled, seldom milled semi fabricated items (less castings and forgings) and extrusions(rubber and metal).
DESIGN CHANGE NOTICES (DCNS):
1. Identify changes to the initial spare parts lists which add to, delete, supersede or modify items previously listed which are approved for incorporation into the end item.
LONG LEAD ITEMS LIST (LLIL):
1. Identify those items which due to their complexity of design, complicated manufacturing process or limited production capacity, may cause production or procurement cycles which would preclude timely and adequate delivery if not ordered in advance of normal acquisition. Identify those items with a production lead time greater than 18 months.
