About this file
This Data Item Description provides the format and content requirements for Special Inspection Equipment Engineering Design Data and Associated Lists. The document specifies that the data is to include details of critical manufacturing processes, dimensions and tolerances, diagrams, physical characteristics, material identification information, inspection criteria, calibration information, reliability requirements, and maintainability requirements. It outlines that the engineering design data is to allow for reproduction of inspection equipment that duplicates the functions of original Special Inspection Equipment. The document also specifies that the engineering design data is to use contractor or Government document numbers depending on selection in the Technical Data Package Option Selection Worksheet as stated in the contract.
The related federal contract opportunity is a solicitation for the F-16 Brake Control System Redesign program. The solicitation seeks proposals to redesign the Brake Control System for the F-16 aircraft to enable continued safe operations over the remaining lifespan of the fleet. The contracting office is DLA Aviation located at Hill Air Force Base in Utah. The pre-solicitation information and any updates can be found on SAM.gov.
