Position Objective
The Finance Specialist provides daily financial transactions under the direction of the Director of Finance. S/he is responsible for day-to-day processing of financial transactions, tracking expenditures and assets, and compiling and approving documentation.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Provide transactional support for the finance functions;
· Apply MCC’s Guidelines for Implementing Entities to all transactions;
· Understand and implement all procedures in the Fiscal Accountability Plan;
· Maintain the asset register;
· Produce periodic financial reports and conduct basic analyses on spending;
· Maintain records and documentation in an organized fashion;
· Create basic budgets;
· Provide data entry into spreadsheets as needed;
· Review transactions for completeness
Requirements (Education, Experience, Technical Competencies)
· University degree in business related field
· At least 5 years’ experience in financial management
· Good command of English, both written and spoken
