24"AFF (min.).”

- Modify: Remove last sentence “Dehumidification?” from existing description for Utility

Services|Mech. There is no dehumidification requirement in the Boat Work Bays.

- Modify: Remove existing description for Utility Services | Plumbing and replace with the following:

“Provide four compressed air tool drops in bays, two drops on the exterior of the boat bays adjacent hose bibbs including valve, filter, and accessories, two compressed air hose reels, two hose bibbs on exterior walls, and one hose bibb within the boat bay”.

REMOVE Utility Services | Plumbing note that states: “…two floor drains with trap primer per bay, two hose bibbs on exterior walls, one hose bibb within boat bays for boat engine test and one oil/water separator downstream of the drains”.

An oil/water separator is not desired and the above text is inconsistent with the sump text under

Finishes | Floor on this SCS.

3. RFP Section 01800 Plumbing, Paragraph 1.10.6

Remove: “Provide compressed air piping routed underground to the pier. Underground piping material shall be Type BCS-PS black carbon steel with polyethylene sheath.

Compressed air piping shall run in an access space within the pier structure. Provide at least one drop at each berth.”

Compressed Air is not required at the piers.

THE FOLLOWING REQUESTS FOR INFORMATION/CLARIFICATIONS WERE RECEIVED:

Clarifications to Previous RFIs.

1. We know that the RFI deadline has passed, but we are hoping for some clarification on conflicting answers to the Progressive Collapse question. It is important because of the potential for significant cost impacts if it is required. Amendment 11 states that “Progressive

Collapse Resistance is applicable…” and Amendment 12, in response to a similar question states that “Progressive collapse is not one of them” referring to the required elements of

UFC 4-10-01. Can you clarify?

RESPONSE: From amendment 12, the response to RFI #98 is incorrect. Progressive collapse per UFC 4-010-01 is required.

2. Regarding the response to RFI #61 in Amendment #12, along the existing bulkhead the mudline varies from approximately -4 to -9. The response to this RFI states that "the design dredge elevation shall not be less than 5' below existing bathymetry". Will the future dredge depth elevation vary from -9 to -14 along the new bulkhead or will the future dredge depth be a uniform depth along the new bulkhead? If so, please provide the desired uniform depth.

RESPONSE: As no dredging is planned for this project, then future dredge depth elevation will vary.

2. RFP specification section 01800, 1.11.16 states that infrared heat is required in the Boat

Bay. Based on the response to RFI #93 in amendment #12, it appears this would not be required. Please verify.

RESPONSE: Infrared heat is required in the boat bay. RFI#93 addressed dehumidification, not heating.

3. Please clarify if there are any requirements for special salt/corrosion coatings at rooftop equipment.

RESPONSE: See response to RFI #139 via amendment.

4. The RFP plumbing section 1.10.6 says the following “Provide compressed air piping routed underground to the pier. Underground piping material shall be Type BCS-PS black carbon steel with polyethylene sheath. Compressed air piping shall run in an access space within the pier structure. Provide at least one drop at each berth.” Please confirm if these drops are required. If required, please provide the PSI and manifold required at each berth.

RESPONSE: Compressed air drops along the pier are not required. See amendment.

5. RFP specification section 01800, 1.11.1 states that Grease duct shall be insulated stainless steel double-wall factory built type for use with Type-1 kitchen hoods. Please verify if single wall welded stainless steel ductwork with (2) layers of fire rated insulation will be acceptable.

RESPONSE: For purposes of bidding, provide what is specified.

6. RFP specification section 01800, 1.11.7 requires “Berthing toilet rooms shall be exhausted via roof-mounted exhaust fans. These fans shall be sized to exhaust the rooms at a minimum 15 air changes per hour, and shall be interlocked with the room lights (controlled by occupancy sensors).” Please confirm that in lieu of individual fans and occupancy sensors, the berthing toilet rooms could be exhausted by a Dedicated Outdoor Air System

(DOAS) at constant rate and therefor lower rate and be routed through an energy recovery unit.

RESPONSE: Confirmed. The RFP is not prescriptive on the exact type of exhaust. Therefore, this proposal utilizing roof mounted Dedicated Outdoor Air System (DOAS) at a constant rate is acceptable. The base exhaust requirements listed in detail in the RFP are the minimums.

7. There were questions on the exact requirements for the Boat Work Bay and the Boat Wash

Bay.

RESPONSE: Updates to the Boat Work Bay and the Boat Wash Bay Requirements below.

See Amendment.

8. Section 01800 paragraph 1.4.8.1 allows both asphaltic concrete and rigid concrete paving.

However there is a statement that “Pavement areas frequently utilized by trucks or heavy equipment requiring loading, unloading, maneuvering and parking shall be constructed using reinforced (rigid) concrete.” Does the USCG utilize trucks or heavy equipment frequently in any area of the site that would require the need for rigid concrete? If so, please identify where such vehicles are utilized.

RESPONSE: Depending on the locations of the fuel tanks, refueling trucks will need to access the Station on regular intervals. This is an item that needs to be coordinated in the final design / location of the fuel tanks.
