About this file

This document is a vehicle specification for Hillsborough County Fleet Management, detailing requirements for a Ford Explorer Midsize SUV 2WD (PCN: 16845). The specification outlines a vehicle with a 6-cylinder flex fuel 3.5L Cyclone engine, automatic transmission, 2WD drivetrain, Oxford White exterior, and Black Medium Dark Slate interior. The vehicle requires specific upfits, including a remote power distribution point and Whelen Vertex 4 corner LED lights.

The dealer is responsible for providing title, county tag, registration, and all associated documentation, including two-way overnight shipping. Additional requirements include quarterly build/order status updates, adherence to OEM wiring practices, and specific installation guidelines for the remote power distribution point and LED lights. The LED lights must be white, installed at each corner of the front grille and rear bumper, and controlled by a toggle switch mounted on the dashboard. All wiring must be secured to prevent chafing or snagging, and the circuit must be fuse-protected.
