About this file

This document is a detailed Specification Sheet for a Utility Terrain Vehicle (UTV) procurement by the U.S. Forest Service, specifically Attachment 9 for MVR #1 (Minimum Vehicle Requirements) for an All-Purpose Side-by-Side Personnel and Cargo Transport UTV. The specification outlines comprehensive technical requirements for a 4x4 UTV designed for off-highway use in wildland fire and forest service operations, with strict criteria including a minimum 800 CC engine, four seats with 3-point seatbelts, on-demand all-wheel drive, electric power steering, and specific safety features like a rollover protection structure, full skid plates, and a front winch.

Key procurement details include delivery to the Fremont-Winema Equipment Shop in Lakeview, OR, with a 120-day delivery timeline after award. The solicitation (Number 1240BK25Q0096) is part of a broader ATV/UTV procurement by the Department of Agriculture Forest Service, covering three vehicle categories: All-Purpose Side-by-Side, Advanced Scout Vehicles, and All Terrain Vehicle Type 1. Vendors are required to quote on the full specification document, with the base model that most closely matches the detailed requirements, and are prohibited from offering "up-sell" type options. The point of contact for this procurement is Stacey Havel, reachable at stacey.havel@usda.gov or 541-947-6211.
