About this file
This document is a detailed specification sheet for a Utility Terrain Vehicle (UTV) procurement by the U.S. Forest Service, specifically for an All-Purpose Side-by-Side Personnel and Cargo Transport 4x4 UTV (MVR #1). The specification requires a 6-seat UTV with comprehensive technical requirements, including a minimum 800 CC engine (gasoline or diesel), on-demand all-wheel drive, electric power steering, heavy-duty suspension, and specific safety features like a rollover protection structure, 3-point seatbelts, and full protective equipment such as skid plates and windshield.
The procurement is part of a larger solicitation (Solicitation Number: 1240BK25Q0096) issued by the Department of Agriculture Forest Service, seeking UTVs for various operational purposes including wildland fire activities, personnel transport, and cargo movement. The document provides a detailed checklist of 30 mandatory specifications and optional features, with vendors required to specify how their proposed UTV meets each requirement. Delivery is specified to Baker City, OR, with an estimated delivery date of September 30, 2024, and vendors must deliver the vehicles within 120 days of award, ensuring all agreed accessories are included with the base model.
