About this file
This document is a detailed Minimum Vehicle Requirements (MVR) specification sheet for a 6-seat Fire Utility Terrain Vehicle (UTV) procurement by the U.S. Forest Service. The specification outlines comprehensive technical requirements for an off-highway vehicle designed for wildland fire and forest service operations, including mandatory features such as a minimum 800 CC engine, 6 seats with 3-point seatbelts, on-demand all-wheel drive, electric power steering, full-length skid plates, front winch, and various safety and operational capabilities.
The specification is part of a larger solicitation (Number 1240BK25Q0096) for ATV/UTV procurement, specifically falling under MVR #1 - All-Purpose Side-by-Side for Personnel and Cargo Transport category. Vendors are required to provide a UTV that meets or exceeds the listed specifications, with the ability to propose alternatives if they can demonstrate mission/safety requirement equivalence. The delivery location is specified as 3285 11th St. Baker City, Oregon 97814, with a contact point of Scott Shively and Rex Kamstra from the U.S. Forest Service. Vendors must provide detailed responses to each specification item, indicating compliance and potential cost implications.
