About this file
This document is a detailed UTV (Utility Terrain Vehicle) specification sheet for the U.S. Forest Service, specifically for MVR #1 - All-Purpose Side-by-Side for Personnel and Cargo Transport. The specification outlines rigorous requirements for an off-highway vehicle, including mandatory features such as a minimum 800 CC liquid-cooled engine, 3-point seatbelts, on-demand all-wheel drive, electric power steering, 1000# payload capacity, full skid plates, front winch, and comprehensive instrumentation. Key technical specifications mandate 11 inches of ground clearance, a fuel tank capacity of 7.5 gallons, and compliance with ANSI/OPEI or ANSI/ROHVA standards.
The specification is part of a larger Department of Agriculture Forest Service solicitation (Solicitation Number: 1240BK25Q0096) for ATV/UTV procurement, with delivery required within 120 days of award to the Bend, Oregon location. The vehicles are intended for diverse purposes including scouting high-elevation areas, hauling personnel and cargo, performing wildland fire operations, trail patrolling, and material transportation. Vendors are required to provide a base model matching the specifications, with strict prohibitions on "up-sell" options, and must meet the Wildland Fire Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) Standard dated January 2022.
