About this file
This document is a submittal cover sheet and product data sheets for a weather-resistive barrier submitted by F.H. Paschen for the Kennesaw State University (KSU) Clendenin Building Envelope Repairs project. The submittal is for Henry Jumbo Tex Weather-Resistive Barrier, which is part of a moisture control system designed for use behind fiber cement siding, residential stucco, vinyl, and wood siding. The product is intended to guard against internal wall damage caused by water intrusion and moisture condensation, providing optimal breathability and water protection. The submittal was dated 7/19/24 and reviewed by RJ Wells Epsten Group on 7/24/2024, with specific comments noting that the product is part of a larger stucco assembly and requires compatible components.
The product data sheets detail the technical specifications of the Henry Jumbo Tex Weather-Resistive Barrier, highlighting its performance characteristics such as water vapor transmission, water resistance, and tensile strength. The barrier meets multiple industry standards, including ASTM specifications and International Building Code requirements. The accompanying PAC-CLAD product data sheet provides additional technical information about flashing and sheet metal components, noting availability in various colors, finishes, and materials. The submittal includes a 15-year material and labor warranty, emphasizing the product's durability and the manufacturer's confidence in its performance for building envelope applications.

EGI General Comments
1. This product is part of a whole stucco assembly, the acceptance of this product is contingent on the use of other compatible AWRB and stucco components. Review comments on other stucco-related submittals prior to procurement.
2. Product substitutions are not accepted unless explicitly accepted in writing by the manufacturer.
3. PAC-CLAD product data belongs in a separate submittal under division 076200, revise and resubmit accordingly, also see comment directly below for resubmittal.
4. PAC-CLAD is an acceptable manufacturer, however, the submittal does not specify which metal type(s), gauge(s), finish(es), profile(s) and where the metal components to be located on the building. The Architectural drawing set includes several stainless steel flashing components part of the brick, window, and stucco repairs. Recommend stainless steel to be 20 gauge minimum. Please provide supplemental submittal providing missing information prior to procurement.
