About this file
This document contains a structural steel specification section and details of a related federal contract opportunity to remodel a pharmacy to meet USP 800 requirements. The structural steel specification outlines requirements for materials, submittals, quality assurance, warranties, fabrication and finishes. Structural shapes, plates, bars, hollow structural sections and pipe are to be galvanized. High-strength bolts tightened to a minimum of 70% tensile strength are required. The federal contract opportunity is a solicitation from the Department of Veterans Affairs for project 629-18-127 to remodel and build out a new segregated compounding area at a Veterans Health Care facility in New Orleans. The procurement is set aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses. The estimated value is between $1 million to $5 million. Offerors must be registered in SAM and VetBiz Vendor Information Pages.
