UNSPSC 82121600: Engraving

UNSPSC 82121600 Engraving, a Class code, encompasses printing and personalized marking services for business collateral, certificates, awards, rings, promotional merchandise, and branded materials that state and local governments source on an ongoing basis. Recent state and local solicitations show demand for engraving and related finishing work embedded in larger printing and promotional-product procurements—including custom championship rings with engravings, embroidered and silk-screened apparel with personalization, printed business cards and certificates with foil stamping, and yearbooks with customized diploma covers and inserts. The issuing bodies span community college districts, county governments, municipal agencies, school districts, and state departments. Collin County Community College District appears as a repeat buyer, issuing multiple ITBs for comprehensive printing services that incorporate engraving and finishing operations. The mix of recent solicitations reflects steady demand from education and municipal procurement offices for personalized finishing work on marketing materials, awards, and ceremonial items.

Geographic activity concentrates in Texas (Collin County Community College District, San Antonio ISD, Klein ISD, Donna ISD, Magnolia ISD, Denton County, City of Richardson) and California (CHP Community Outreach and Marketing Section, City of Long Beach, California Department of Motor Vehicles), with additional activity in Georgia (Fulton County Schools), Wisconsin (Madison Metropolitan School District), and New Jersey (NJ Motor Vehicle Commission). Representative recent opportunities include Collin County Community College District's ITB FY2024-025 for three-year printing services covering business cards, letterhead, and envelopes with offset-printing specifications, due April 18, 2024; California Department of the Highway Patrol's IFB 26C035001 for engraving services to support community outreach and marketing materials, posted May 8, 2026 with response deadline May 19, 2026; Fulton County Schools' RFQ 178-26 for custom-engraved football championship rings and pendants for Creekside High School, due February 5, 2026; and the City of Long Beach's ITB TI-26-695 for gold foil stamped certificates and business cards, due May 19, 2026, which awarded to Alliance Printing Associates Inc. The code sees consistent activity in school district recognition and awards procurement and municipal communications collateral work, though opportunities often bundle engraving with broader printing, embroidery, or silk-screening scopes.
