About this opportunity

The State of Maine Division of Purchases is requesting bids on hot foil stamped seals measuring 2 1/4 inches, with bids due August 11, 2008.

Bids must be submitted using prescribed forms to the Division of Purchases at 111 Sewall Street, Augusta, Maine by the opening date and time; late bids will not be considered. Bidders must provide separate unit prices for each item at the specified quantities, delivered to destination. All deliveries must comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

The contract is subject to extension at the discretion of the State Purchasing Director with contractor consent, with a maximum total period of three years from initial award. The contract permits overruns not to exceed 3 percent of the awarded quantity or value. Awards will be made to the lowest responsible bidder considering best value to the State, with evaluation factors including quality of supplies, conformity with specifications, delivery date, ultimate cost, and vendor past performance.

Pricing must exclude federal taxes on articles not for resale and Maine sales and use taxes. The state is exempt from federal and state sales and use taxes and should not be charged these amounts. Bidders must specify terms and cash discounts; discounts under 20 days will not be considered in award decisions. All transportation charges, including freight, shall be prepaid and at the contractor's expense unless otherwise specified. No contract may be assigned, sublet, or transferred without written consent of the Division Director. Failure to submit bids on three consecutive requests may result in removal from the bidders register.
