About this opportunity

The Madison Metropolitan Sewerage District is conducting a procurement for 4 Nutanix Nodes and associated support services, located in Madison, Wisconsin within Dane County. The Invitation to Bid (ITB) seeks 4 hardware nodes and 16 CPU core licenses for Nutanix Cloud Infrastructure (NCI) Pro software, with a required 3-year support package. Bidders must submit comprehensive pricing and detailed product information, including specific product codes and descriptions, with all required fields completed in the bid table. The solicitation requires bidders to be authorized partners or distributors with demonstrated experience in providing Nutanix hardware and software solutions. Key procurement dates include a bid submission deadline of October 25, 2024, at 11:00am local time, with all bids to be emailed to District Technology Manager Laurie Dunn. Potential bidders must submit any clarification questions by October 16, 2024, at 11:00am, with the District posting material questions and answers by October 18, 2024. The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids and will select the vendor based on the total least cost quoted for equipment and support services.

The procurement appears to have no specific set-aside designations or restrictions for disadvantaged business enterprises. The District is exempt from Wisconsin Sales Tax and all other state taxes, which may provide some financial advantage to the winning bidder. While no incumbent vendor is explicitly identified, the solicitation suggests the District is expanding or replacing existing technology infrastructure. The contract allows for potential quantity increases by mutual agreement, maintaining original pricing and specifications. Although a specific budget range is not disclosed, the comprehensive nature of the procurement - including hardware nodes, software licenses, and three years of support services - indicates a potentially significant investment. The invoice for all equipment and support services must be received by December 20, 2024, suggesting a relatively quick implementation timeline. Bids must remain valid for 60 days after the opening date, providing the District flexibility in its selection process.
