About this opportunity
The Dawson County Purchasing Department, on behalf of the Dawson County Board of Commissioners in Georgia, issued an Invitation for Bid (IFB) to procure heavy equipment maintenance and repair services for county-owned road repair and mowing equipment. The procurement sought sealed bid proposals from licensed and qualified vendors capable of performing various repairs and maintenance work on heavy equipment assets. The solicitation was posted on April 7, 2021, with a bid submission deadline of May 6, 2021. A written question submission deadline of April 20, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. was established, with all questions and corresponding answers to be posted to the Dawson County website and Georgia Procurement Registry by April 23, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. No pre-bid meeting was scheduled for this solicitation. The county reserved the right to reject any and all proposals, waive technicalities or irregularities, and award the contract based on the highest and best interests of Dawson County.
The solicitation ultimately received no bids and was closed without any award being made. No specific set-aside designations, disadvantaged enterprise requirements, incumbent vendors, or contract value information was documented in the available materials. The absence of bidder response resulted in the failure of this procurement action to proceed to the award phase, necessitating potential future rebidding efforts by Dawson County to secure the required heavy equipment maintenance and repair services.
