About this opportunity

The DeKalb County School District (DCSD) in Georgia is seeking proposals from qualified offerors to establish formal partnerships with educator preparation program providers to create a teacher residency program called IGNITE (Inspiring Greatness and Normalizing Innovation in Teacher Education). The purpose of this program is to prepare high-quality, committed teachers to work effectively in Horizon schools across the district. The program will allow selected candidates to earn a post-secondary credential and teacher certification at no out-of-pocket cost, while serving in a paid, full-time, student-facing position. DCSD is seeking proposals for Master's-degree granting pathways in Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education, Special Education, and Foreign Language. Proposals must address curriculum design, institutional support, and partnership requirements, and are due by March 7, 2024, with a public acknowledgment held virtually on the same date. DCSD reserves the right to make multiple awards, and the contract will be subject to fiscal year funding limitations.

The RFP includes detailed pricing requirements, with offerors required to provide a cost proposal form outlining tuition, fees, textbooks, assessments, and other costs for 100 graduate students. DCSD will cover all costs for selected candidates. The RFP also addresses insurance, indemnification, confidentiality, and other standard contract terms and conditions. The procurement opportunity is open to all qualified offerors, and the RFP does not specify any set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond. There is no information provided about incumbent vendors or current contractors, or any existing infrastructure or technology that requires integration. The RFP does not list a possible award value or budget range.
