About this opportunity

The Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia (BOR), on behalf of the University of Georgia, is soliciting Statements of Qualifications from construction management at-risk firms for the South Milledge Roundabouts project (CP3571) in Athens, Georgia, with submissions due November 6, 2026.

The scope encompasses design and construction management services for two single-lane, 4-leg roundabouts on South Milledge Avenue: one serving the Track & Field/Turner Family Complex and one at the State Botanical Garden area. The project includes sidewalks, crosswalks, pedestrian refuge islands, stormwater management, utility relocations, lighting, signage, and landscaping. Both roundabouts are to be similar in scale to the existing roundabout at South Milledge and Whitehall Road. The project is located within the Athens-Clarke County roadway right-of-way/easement and will be delivered in coordination with Georgia Department of Transportation and Athens-Clarke County jurisdictional requirements.

The roundabouts are intended to improve vehicular safety and turning movements at posted speeds of 40 mph in the Track/Turner area and 50 mph at the State Botanical Garden area, while preserving through traffic on South Milledge and enhancing pedestrian safety, including safe crossing to support shared parking during major events.

The source does not specify a contract value, contract term, estimated budget, evaluation criteria weighting, or anticipated award date. No pre-bid meeting, site visit, or question deadline is identified. No set-aside or preference program is indicated.
