About this opportunity

Wake County's IT Department is seeking bids for Cisco SMARTnet Maintenance Services Renewal through Request for Bid (RFB) #25-089. The procurement targets Cisco maintenance service renewals across multiple service levels, including 8x5 NBD (SNT), 24x7x4 (SNTP), and SWSS contracts, with a specific coverage period from 10/16/25 to 10/15/26. All bids must be submitted exclusively through the Bonfire/Euna portal by September 25, 2025, with strict requirements that only complete bids from Cisco Gold partners or higher will be considered. Vendors must price equipment precisely according to the county's provided Excel spreadsheet, including detailed line-item costs in Column I to support specific item reimbursement. The solicitation emphasizes that only Cisco SMARTnet Service Levels directly from Cisco will be evaluated, and partial bids will be automatically rejected.

The procurement has specific vendor qualifications, mandating that all bidders must be Cisco Gold partners or above, which effectively restricts participation to highly qualified technology service providers. While no specific set-aside designations for disadvantaged enterprises are explicitly mentioned in the documents, the bid includes standard anti-discrimination provisions consistent with Wake County ordinances. The procurement focuses on renewing maintenance services for existing Cisco equipment, with current contract numbers listed and a clear specification that not all Cisco-listed assets are part of this renewal process. Insurance requirements are comprehensive, including Workers' Compensation, Commercial General Liability, Commercial Automobile Liability, Professional Liability, and Cyber Liability Insurance, with specific requirements for insurance company authorization and AM Best ratings. Although the exact budget range is not specified in the provided documents, the detailed pricing sheet suggests a structured approach to maintenance service renewal that indicates a potentially significant technology infrastructure investment.

Wake County's IT Department is requesting bids for Cisco SMARTnet Maintenance Services Renewal. Please see included Excel Pricing Sheet. All bids must be submitted through the Bonfire/Euna portal. Any partial bids will not be accepted. Vendors please read carefully: • For quotation purposes, the coverage period should be 10/16/25- 10/15/26. *Exceptions noted in spreadsheet. • Vendors should note there are multiple service levels listed in the attached spreadsheet, representing our 8x5 NBD (SNT), 24x7x4 (SNTP), and our SWSS contracts. Current contract numbers are listed. • We are only interested in renewing the items in the attached list. Cisco's system may show us owning other assets, but we are not targeting those excluded items at this time. • It would also be greatly beneficial if all vendors could price the equipment according to our spreadsheet layout and order. Also please provide line-item costs (Column I) as we submit specific items for reimbursement. Please note! All bid responses must be from Cisco Gold partners or above. Only Cisco SMARTnet Service Levels directly with Cisco will be considered.
