About this opportunity
The U.S. Embassy in Mexico City is seeking a contractor to provide comprehensive janitorial and cafeteria services for its New Embassy Compound and four nearby locations in Mexico City. The solicitation (19MX5325R0005) involves a single award firm-fixed price contract for regular janitorial services, an indefinite-delivery indefinite-quantity contract for temporary janitorial services, and a zero-cost Concessions Agreement for cafeteria services. All services will be payable in Mexican Pesos, with the contractor responsible for furnishing personnel, materials, and transportation while adhering to local safety requirements. Prospective offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at the time of proposal submission, with electronic proposals due by July 9, 2025, at 5:00 PM CST. The government intends to award the contract to the lowest-priced, technically acceptable, responsible offeror, potentially without further discussions, and a pre-proposal site visit is scheduled for March 27-28, 2025.
The solicitation does not include any specific set-aside designations, and the contract will cover approximately 52,580 square meters across multiple buildings, including offices, restrooms, exteriors, and parking areas. The cafeteria services will support approximately 1,100-1,300 embassy employees and up to 3,500 daily visitors, with food service operations running from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. The initial contract period will be one year, with potential extensions up to four and a half additional option years. The place of performance is Mexico City, CDMX, Mexico, specifically at the New Embassy Compound and four nearby locations. While no specific incumbent contractor is mentioned, the solicitation includes detailed requirements for food safety, menu offerings, sanitation protocols, and operational standards, with patrons expected to pay in Mexican Pesos or U.S. Dollars directly to the cafeteria service provider.
