About this opportunity
The U.S. Embassy in Mexico City is seeking a contractor to provide janitorial and cafeteria services for the New Embassy Compound and four additional locations in Mexico City. The Department of State is soliciting proposals for a comprehensive service contract that includes general purpose cleaning, vendor-managed inventory, and cafeteria operations. Contractors must furnish all necessary personnel, materials, and transportation while adhering to local safety requirements. All responsible sources may submit proposals, with the government potentially awarding the contract based on initial offers without further discussion. Offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at the time of proposal submission, with failure to do so resulting in a non-responsive proposal.
The contract will consist of a single award firm-fixed price contract for regular janitorial services, an indefinite-delivery indefinite-quantity contract for temporary janitorial services, and a zero-cost concessions agreement for cafeteria services. All contract payments will be made entirely in Mexican Pesos (MXP). The opportunity is classified under NAICS code 561720 for Janitorial Services and PSC code S201 for Housekeeping-Custodial Janitorial services. No specific set-aside has been designated for this procurement, meaning all qualified contractors may compete. The embassy plans to conduct a Site Visit and Pre-Proposal Conference, with specific details to be outlined in the full solicitation. Electronic proposal submissions will be accepted via email, with the exact response date and time to be specified in the forthcoming solicitation documents.
