About this opportunity
The Defense Information Systems Agency seeks removal and installation of furniture systems at its Columbus facility, with proposals due August 26, 2026, at 2:00 PM CDT. This is a Total Small Business set-aside, firm fixed-price procurement.
Place of performance is Defense Supply Center Columbus, Building 10, 3990 East Broad Street, Whitehall, Ohio 43213. The NAICS code is 337214 (Office Furniture Manufacturing), and the PSC is Z2AB (Repair or Alteration of Conference Space and Facilities).
The base scope requires removal of 69 existing workstations, relocation of 4 workstations to a collaboration space, and installation of 78 new workstations (68 linear, 10 circular battle captain consoles) with electrical connections, 312 monitor arms with gas-spring actuation supporting four 24-inch monitors per 60-inch space, 4 floor-to-ceiling ladder racks for cable management, and approximately 24,000 linear feet of CAT6 S/FTP cabling (SIPR and NIPR networks segregated by 36 inches). Electrical work includes 85 connections with a maximum of four workstations per circuit. The contractor must install 120 linear feet of temporary demountable wall with two egress doors and sound attenuation. All work must comply with 2014 NEC, NFPA 101, IBC, UFC, IEEE, ASTM, and ANSI standards.
Amendment 05 (effective August 26) made mandatory the previously optional items: 15,000 square feet of commercial-grade removable carpet squares, 85 ergonomic office chairs meeting specified requirements (adjustable height, lumbar support, 300-pound capacity), 4 glass whiteboards (minimum 74" × 42"), and 60 double-stacked wall lockers. The contractor must submit a 60-day project schedule within 7 calendar days of award, preliminary furniture layouts and 3D renderings within 15 days, final layouts within 30 days, electrical submittals with arc flash calculations within 15 days, and a Lock-Out Tag-Out plan within 20 days. Performance period is 12 months from award with delivery by November 21, 2026.
Evaluation is Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA), weighing Technical Approach and Compliance (furniture/layout conformance, electrical and IT infrastructure adequacy, demolition/installation methodology) and Project Management (schedule clarity, coordination). All contractor personnel must be U.S. citizens escorted at all times on-site; security clearances are not required. A mandatory pre-proposal site visit occurred August 4, 2026. Contractors may use subcontractors for IT work and carpet installation; failure to complete all required line items results in disqualification. No bid bonds, performance bonds, or payment bonds are required. All products must carry minimum five-year warranties. Five amendments issued between July 31 and August 26 adjusted FAR 52.212-2, clarified specifications, updated Q&A responses, and extended the proposal deadline from August 19 to August 26.
