Request for Information (RFI) IV Avionics Replacement Program (ARP)
(Responses are due on or before 3:00 pm CST on Monday, 8 August 2022)
The purpose of this RFI is to request responses to the following questions.
The user community has concern for nuisance alerts during regular training profiles. Although complete profiling cannot be offered at this time, of particular interest is to fly Low Levels at 500' AGL and at 210 KIAS with the gear up. The altitude may vary significantly for students.
There needs to be a capability to inhibit terrain alerts but still get altitude callouts that are appropriate for T-6A, and the conditions in which inhibit is disengaged desirable.
1. Please review this proposed addition to System Requirements Document (SRD) CFIT-P section, and provide feedback on any conflict with industry provided solutions and regulations. "The modified T-6A aircraft shall ensure safety of flight and provide for manual, temporary inhibiting of warnings during extended low level flight (500 feet AGL, between 140 to 316kts Indicated Airspeed) conditions."
2. What parameters are configurable by strapping, maintenance software, or other means for the Technical Standard Order (TSO)-c151 system in your solution? For example, flight parameters like altitude and airspeed per phase for alerts, and inhibit disengage conditions.
Please provide responses to RFI IV questions via email to Welth Cooper at Welth.Cooper@us.af.mil and Gale VanDeventer at Gale.VanDeventer@us.af.mil on or before 3:00 pm CST on Monday, 8 August 2022.
