Temporary Stabilization: Temporary soil stock piles and disturbed portions of the site where construction activity temporarily ceases for at least 21 days will be stabilized with temporary seed and straw, no later than 14 days from the last construction activity in that area. The straw shall be crimped in place. Silt fencing will be installed on the discharge perimeter side of the project area and around sinkhole areas prior to clearing and grubbing as shown on the BMP plan.

5.3. Permanent Stabilization: Disturbed portions of the site where construction activities permanently cease shall be stabilized with permanent seed within fourteen (14) days after the last construction activity. All disturbed areas shall be fine graded with sufficient topsoil with seed, fertilizer and straw (per ESD directive) to achieve an acceptable stand of grass.

5.4. Perimeter Structural Practices: Drain inlets and outlets shall be protected with rock bags or dams/checks. Silt fences will be used on all down slopes to prevent soil or sediment from leaving the site. If required, all entrances leading to public roads need to be stabilized by removing the vegetation and cutting down about 6 inches, place non-woven geo-textile material, and then place at least 6 inches of #2 aggregate on top. Area must be a minimum of 14 feet wide and 100 feet long.

Waste materials generated shall be salvaged or separated for recycling to the extent that is economically feasible.

2. The Waste Management Chart identifies the waste materials expected to be generated on this project, the disposal method for each material, and any handling requirements.

3. Waste diversion activities shall be discussed at each safety meeting. Each contractor and subcontractor shall receive this WMP and be provided a tour of the job site. Each subcontractor is expected to make sure all work crews comply with the WMP. All containers shall be clearly labeled and lists of accepted/unaccepted materials will be posted throughout the site.

4. To the maximum extent possible, all recyclables will be taken to the Fort Knox Recycle Center. Weight of recyclables not sent to the Fort Knox Recycle Center shall be reported to the Fort Knox Solid Waste Manager, Bldg. 1110, room 224 monthly. Reports are due by the 10th of the next month.
