Training Assistance Visit Request
(Unit Support Requirements)
Course Requirements: Units must allocate 13 training days for this MTT, or certification will not be issued. Students will not miss more than eight hours of the 104 hour curriculum.
Class size minimum is 8 and maximum is 16.
Classroom style environment is required that supports training at the SECRET level.
Classroom Requirements:
Instructor: Podium equipped with SIPRNET connected to a projector with screen / monitor, audio, internet and printer. SIPNET system must be capable of accessing IKN-S and Interlink. This facilitates downloading of lesson plans, lectures and PEs. A white board with dry erase markers is also required. Instructors also require access to NIRPNET, with internet access and printer capability, to complete course administrative requirements.
Ideally, a separate area (outside the training classroom) with at least one SIPRNET workstation is required during week two of the training to facilitate the CAPSTONE.
The workstation must connect to the internet and not be a stand alone system.
Students: Ideally each student should have an individual computer and SIPRNET Token to access SIPRNET Email necessary to conduct the STX. If terminals are limited, it is acceptable for 2 students to share a computer, as long as one has email connectivity. Unit coordination is required with the system administrator to ensure instructors and students have user accounts and a shared folder J2X Folder is created on the LAN to drop student references and PEs.
The requesting unit is responsible for funding the TDY expenses of the MTT instructors. Funding for contractors is provided via MIPR (Military Interdepartmental Purchase Request). The MIPR must be submitted to PEO-STRI no later than 45 days prior to the scheduled start date of the MTT. Failure to do so will adversely impact the instructors' ability to conduct the MTT as scheduled. Funding for federal employees is provided via a Line of Accounting (LOA) cross org in DTS. The suspense for this action is no later than two weeks prior to the scheduled MTT start date.
