Q.002 Max Capacity Solicitation Clause 52.242‐4557 Will contractors need to meet the 60 trailers capacity per month capacity? A.002
The clause at 52.242‐4557 requires the max capacity be 60 trailers per month, if and when, the contractor gets a delivery order. At this time, the Government does not expect the contractor to produce trailers at the rate of 60 per month during the whole contract, but instead the successful contractor would only produce 60 per month when called for in select delivery orders. Contractor will be obligated to accept a delivery that requires 60 trailer per month but not one that expects more trailers per month.

Normally the COTS Anti‐lock brake system (ABS) electrical has one ECU that controls the braking per axle and not per wheel end. The COTS ABS can sense the wheel end but does not control each wheel end independently.
The government specifies "The ABS shall operate on 24 volt power. ABS, with each axle end sensed and controlled independently, is required on all axles and shall meet current industry..." Does the Government need wheel end ABS braking control?
A.004
No. The Government requirement is for ABS sensing on each wheel end and ABS control on each axle. Ref ATPD paragraph 3.9.6b for clarification.
