Communications to the building will be run in three separate locations. Conduit runs from an existing hand hole near Building 164 across the access drive across the parking area to the fire station building near the main entrance. A new hand hole will be placed just outside the building. The service will run beneath the building slab to enter the Communications Room. A self‐supported communications tower will be placed in the grassed area between Building 102 and the fire station. Conduits will run from the communications tower to the communications room. In addition, conduit will run from the existing communications vault on the east side of Building 102 to the fire station building. See the “Communications Design Narrative” for more information.
Yes, the Comm Tower will be provided and installed by the contractor. A 30’ Rohn 55G self‐supporting tower is the basis of design, other self‐supporting towers of equal height, equal corrosion resistance, and rated for 120 MPH Wind (3‐ second gust) are acceptable.
