About this file
The document is a technical specification section (Section 61) for pavement marking removal, specifically for thermoplastic markings, issued by a local government project in St. Cloud, Florida. The City of St. Cloud is soliciting electronic bids for the 17th Street T-Ball and Baseball Field Improvements REBID project, with sealed offers to be submitted electronically via the OpenGov e-Procurement Platform by 2:00 pm on Tuesday, June 4, 2024. Potential bidders must submit questions by Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at 5:00 pm through the platform's question and answer module, with communication directly with the initiating department potentially resulting in disqualification.
The specification details requirements for removing existing pavement markings, emphasizing that painting over markings is not permitted, and markings must be physically and totally removed using methods approved by the Project Engineer that do not damage the pavement surface. Payment will be made per square foot for removal of lines, stripes, messages, and symbols, with measurement and acceptance determining the contract price. Bidders are required to create a free account on the OpenGov platform and are advised that the city will not be responsible for submission delays caused by technical issues such as network problems, bandwidth limitations, or internet outages.
