About this file
This document is a Request for Information (RFI) related to the Army Food Innovation and Transformation (AFIT) Program's meal entitlement system. The RFI focuses on technical details for meal transaction processing in the Army Food Information Management System (AFMIS), specifically addressing API calls and CAC card validation procedures for Electronic Subsistence Management (ESM) soldiers. Key technical requirements include developing offline and online procedures for meal transaction validation, with potential methods such as manually entering EDIPI (Electronic Data Interchange Personal Identifier) into point-of-sale systems or creating online systems capable of parsing CAC certificate information. The RFI indicates that ongoing development includes creating functionality for listing ESM soldiers and enabling bulk meal transaction posting, with the ultimate goal of establishing a robust meal entitlement verification process.

RFI Responses for SEC
· RFI 103: Screenshot of the AFMIS meal entitlement interaction. (CECOM) Post Meal Transaction
· GetMealEntitlement
· VoidMealTransaction
· Offline Mode API calls are still in progress, this will include:
· List of all ESM soldiers
· Bulk posting of Meal transactions
· RFI Unk: Without the CAC card and online order/delivery service is established for ESM, what is the expectation of validating the CAC cards in AFMIS?
· All ordering, by ESM soldiers, will require validation/Posting of meals through the AFIT API or alternate offline procedure. The facility receiving the order can manually take the EDIPI during the process and insert it into their POS for validation or develop an online system that has the ability to accept the EMS soldier’s CAC certs to parse the EDIPI.
