Requireme nts;
The RFP requires that the Supply Warehouse building be conditioned with a VAV AHU with chilled water and hot water and also a
DOAS. The RFP also states that the warehouse area of this facility is heated and ventilated only. The warehouse is the majority of the building, leaving less than 3K SF of conditioned area. An RTU is a more appropriate system type for this scale application. Shall a pad-mounted VAV RTU with electric reheat be used in lieu of the
VAV AHU, chillers, boilers, and DOAS?

Requirements and Reporting require a minimum 50% controllability. For example, if there are 20 workstations, the space would need a minimum of 10 thermostats (VAVs).
Please confirm thermal comfort is not required for the supply and combined facilities. In lieu of an increase in VAVs, thermal comfort controllability can be achieved if 50% of the workstations are provided with ceiling fans, adjustable underfloor diffusers, task-mounted controls (such as plug-in fans, humidifiers, or dehumidifiers), and operable windows.
