And RFI 260 response

Space Tabulation

& FF&E

List – II

MEF

N/A Please clarify the response to RFI 260.

RFI 260 now appears to be asking for the following:

(6) 40 person training room that can be divided into (12) 20 person training room.

(2) 40 person training room that can be divided into (4) 20 person training room. (is there a difference between these 2 training rooms and the 6 above noted in the response?

(1) 20 person training room that can be divided into (2) 10 person classrooms. (new room- please provide SF for this room)

(1)10 person training room that can be divided into (2) 5 person training rooms. (new room-please provide SF for this room.)

Please confirm that this is the correct interpretation of the response to RFI 260.

This response is different than both the program, and the FF&E. The response also reduces overall GSF which we understand, but makes no mention of increasing GSF or NSF for the new requirements in the LWTC

No. Provide (6) 40 person Training Rooms that can be configured into (2) 120 person Training Rooms or (2) 80 person Training Rooms and (2) 40 person Training Rooms, or (6) 40 person Training Rooms to provide users the greatest flexibility with their space needs. The (2) 120 person Training Rooms do not necessarily need to be contigous space nor do the (2) 20 person Training Rooms, nor the 10 and 20 person Training Rooms. All Training Room space within the LWTC may be on one or multiple floors. A 40 person Conference Room = 1,120 sf; a 20 person Training Room = 560 sf; a 10 person Training Room = 280 sf.

276 PPI 260 Response PPI 260 explained that the RFP was asking for

(8) 40 Person Training Rooms, hosting a total of 320 Occupants (2 of the 8 rooms being divisible). It also explained that the FF&E schedule was asking for (3) 40 Person, (3) 20 Person, and (1) 10 Person training room, for a total of 190 Occupants. The PPI answer is to provide (8) 40 Person Training Rooms, (1) 20 Person Training Room, and (1) 10 Person Training Room. That would be a total occupancy of 350. It also notes that all 10 rooms should be divisible, and the department gross square footage should be reduced from 124,547 to 123,427. In essence, the PPI answer is asking to fit 30 extra occupants, extra permanent partitions to create two more rooms, and the space to house 10 operable partitions, in lieu of 2, all while reducing the DGSF by 1,120 GSF. Is this correct?

PPI 260 clarification:

Provide (6) 40 person Training Rooms capable of being subdivided into two equally sized blocks of space to accomodate two 120 person concurrent meetings;

(2) 20 person Training Rooms capable of being subdivided; (1) 20 person Training Room and (1) 10-person Training Room capable of being subdivided reducing the LWTC

409 DGSF to a total of 13,137 DGSF and the Total Gross Square Footage to 179,876. This results in (4) blocks of Training Room space able to accomodate 310 seats concurrently.
