Question RESPONSE
86 P‐235 CU113,
FX501
Drawing FX501 shows an 8" domestic water supply, drawing CU113 shows a 12" DIP water main supply line. Please confirm the correct size of pipe
UPDATE
Provide a 12” DIP water main supply to the building.
Install a 12” x 8” reducer at the building connection point.
Provide an 8” water supply inside the fire pump building.
87 P‐235 CU113,
FX501
FX501 shows a riser diagram with piping between the fire pump house and the water tanks. Nothing is shown on the civil plans between the tanks and pump house.
Please provide a plan view showing the pipe layout to confirm length and depth of piping.
UPDATE
Utilize the schematic shown on Sheet FX501 for the piping layout between the fire pump house and fire water tanks.
Install water line at a minimum depth of 2.5’ per the specifications.
88 P‐235 CS113 On drawing CS113, and throughout the Site Plans, Work Note 4 calls out to "Replace Chain Link Fence Following Utility Installation. Match Existing Fence Height
UPDATE
Fencing is only required to be
N4008518R0644 and Material." The note shows up in several places, but it does not identify the if a short section of fence will need replaced or if all of the fencing on that plan will need to be replaced. Please identify where fencing will need to be replaced.
removed and replaced to the extent necessary for utility installation. Short sections may be replaced at these locations identified.
105 RFP Part 3, Section 6, Paragraph D303001 Requires “The cooling load for each facility must be served by 1 chiller providing 100 percent of the load”. Please confirm that the same, single chiller will serve both squadrons.
UPDATE:
Bid per RFP: single chiller for both squadrons
106 RFP Part 3, Section 6, Paragraph D303001 Requires “The cooling load for each facility must be served by 1 chiller providing 100 percent of the load”. Was the intent of this requirement to provide 1 chiller for the Hangar building and a separate chiller for the Paraloft Building? The cooling load for the Paraloft building is quite low and below the range where chillers are typically installed. The Paraloft building is also 1,000s of feet from the main Hangar building, so chilled water distribution from the chiller serving the Hangar building would not be appropriate. Is it acceptable to provide one chiller for the Hangar building, while the Paraloft building is cooled through a DX split system with a condensing gas furnace?
UPDATE:
Bid per RFP: It is not the intent to pipe chilled water between the facilities.
