A current copy of any Facility’s Map may be provided to necessary personnel, upon request. All requests should be through the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR).

An updated and complete CAD file must be provided to the COR for any work performed in accordance with this PWS, including IDIQ work, that results in changes to the existing facilities and/or larger equipment that would need to be reflected per this section’s requirements. An example of this would be larger pumps, chillers, compressors, exhausters, etc.

Section 2.01.b Historical Workload Data

Historical data provided within PWS attachments are provided for information purposes only and does not otherwise serve as a guarantee of any quantity of work that the Contractor will experience on this contract.

Section 2.01.c Historical TC Information

An Ames history on Trouble Calls (TCs), broken down to TC annual groupings, received and their associated work groups, and classifications is provided in Attachment 2.02.03, Section J2. The actual

1 Attachment 2.02.01-11 has been removed. Most up-to-date copy can be found here, however for proposal purposes please use the PDFs included as attachment:

https://historicproperties.arc.nasa.gov/downloads/summary/map master.pdf

Introduction 2-11 quantities of TC’s issued during each performance period may differ from that shown in the historical records. See PWS Section 8 Reactive Maintenance, for additional information.

Section 2.01.d Historic Properties

Ames Research Center includes several buildings that are registered as Historic buildings. Work on, or near enough to impact, historic facilities must abide by additional requirements as stated below. For a complete list of what facilities at ARC are historic, see https://historicproperties.arc.nasa.gov/summary.html

The Contractor shall not remove or disturb, or cause or permit to be removed or disturbed, any historical, archaeological, architectural, or other cultural artifacts, relics, vestiges, remains, or objects of antiquity.

In the event such items are discovered at the property, Contractor shall cease its activities and immediately notify: (1) the COR, (2) the NASA Ames Research Center Cultural Resource Manager, (3) the Environmental Division Chief, and (4) Protective Services. The Contractor shall also protect the site from further disturbance until NASA gives clearance to proceed, following the processes outlined in the Inadvertent Discovery of Archaeological Resources chapter of the Integrated Cultural Resources Management Plan (ICRMP). The Contractor shall comply with all Federal, State, and local procedures and requirements outlined in NASA ARC’s most recent ICRMP. The ICRMP can be found on https://historicproperties.arc.nasa.gov/.

The Contractor and NASA acknowledge that certain maintenance activities may have the potential to affect historic properties (as defined under 36 C.F.R. Part 800), including archaeological sites, and may be subject to National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA) Section 106 review.

NASA, in coordination with the Contractor and stakeholders, will consult with the State Historic Preservation Officer (SHPO) on all activities proposed by the Contractor and stakeholders that constitute an “undertaking” under 36 C.F.R. Part 800. Experience has proven that this happens extremely rarely.

The Contractor shall not begin work affecting any historic property prior to completion of the requirements contained in 36 C.F.R. Part 800 and authorized to proceed by the Contracting Officer (CO) or COR.

Section 2.01.e Hours of Operation

All schedules shall be created and in line with NPR 1800.1E Chapter 2 – specifically Chapter 2.14 Shift Work and Balancing Work-Rest Cycles.

Section 2.01.f Working Hours

Government's normal (regular) working hours range from 0600 to 1730 hours (6:00 AM to 5:30 PM), Mondays through Fridays, except for Federal holidays.

The contractor may schedule their employees in any fashion they desire within this range so long as the Contractor fulfills all requirements as described in this PWS.

Section 2.01.g Work Outside Normal Hours

Some positions and some work requirements will require occasional instances of unusual working hours, such as working an extended day, working late (working beyond the mutually agreed ending time for any particular day), or working on a weekend. The Contractor is responsible for adjusting work schedules for such unusual working hours.

When work is required/necessary outside the normal hours as specified above, the Contractor must obtain approval from the CO or their delegated representative (COR) and notify the applicable personnel contact list at least 24 hours in advance.
