FOR: CAF ADAIR INTERESTED PARTIES

SUBJECT: CAF ADAIR (Solicitation No. FA4890-17-R-0007) - Notice to Industry
1. The purpose of this notice is to provide information to CAF ADAIR interested parties
2. As of now, the Government is considering providing a maximum price per flying hour and is currently in the process of establishing a final figure. Emerging senior leadership direction on aircraft systems security requirements, funding, and cross MAJCOM prioritization have an impact on the final published price. Senior leaders are also prioritizing funding with respect to total CAF ADAIR laydown. This figure and associated conditions will be published as soon as possible; but, most likely in January 2018.
3. The Government is also analyzing options with respect to the supportability of GFE P5 pods versus the requirement for the contractors to provide and support P5 pods. This decision will also be published as soon as possible.
4. As posted on FBO on 19 October 2017, in the Notice to Industry, The Government is considering a
SECRET addendum to the Unclassified RFP. If your company does not currently possess a SECRET facility clearance, please submit a response that includes your company’s plans to obtain a SECRET facility clearance and identifies the personnel within your company holding a U.S. Government security clearance (including clearance levels). Please submit this plan no later than close of business Friday, 15
December 2017.
5. The Government held an Industry training event on 15-16 November 2017. The following briefing charts from the event are now available on FBO:
- Airworthiness Assessment Technical Evaluation Training
- Fundamentals of USAF Airworthiness Process
- Spectrum Management
- Projected NEPA-EIAP
6. Please submit all inputs and responses via email to the CAF ADAIR inbox
