About this file
This document contains questions and answers related to a solicitation for renovations to Facility 35420 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida. The solicitation is for a base bid plus four potential additive items for work including replacement of interior lighting, addition of electric motors to garage doors, interior and exterior building modifications, installation of an air-compressed with sound mitigation, and construction of a 20'x20' air-conditioned office. Bidders are asked to provide pricing for a rock and pipe septic system as the base bid but an alternative multi-pipe system will be considered if it provides benefits to the government and meets Florida regulatory requirements. The 45th Civil Engineer Squadron provides responses to questions clarifying that the contractor is responsible for obtaining necessary septic permitting and fees. Geotechnical information and septic system sizing calculations are available from the contracting officer.
