Capacity:

The loader shall be equipped with a general-purpose bucket with a minimum SAE heaped capacity of 2.5 cu. yd. and bolt on cutting edges.

All minimums are based on material weight of 3,200 lbs. per cubic yard) and SAE standard J818B. All information in the loader portion of the specification should be answered using the general purpose bucket.

Equipped per this specification, including counterweight if required, the loader shall have a minimum SAE full turn (40) tipping load of approximately 18,000 lbs.

Hydro inflation of rear tires with any solution will not be accepted. Loaders must meet the minimum SAE J732C and SAE J742 full turn tipping load and operating weight requirements without material added to the tires.

Minimum breakout force (SAE J732C) of 21,500 lbs. with the bucket specified above.

The approximate operating weight of the machine shall be 29,000 lbs.

Loader:

The loader shall include automatic return to dig feature.

The loader shall include an adjustable, operator activated, “return to carry” bucket level feature.

Equipped per specifications, the loader shall have a minimum loading height to the bucket hinge pin of 13’-6”.

Minimum of four speeds forward and three speeds reverse with Cruise control or Creep function included

The loader shall include a transmission disconnect activated by the service brake pedal.

Drive Axles:

The loader shall be driven by a planetary drive to each wheel.

Both differentials shall include posi-traction type locking devices or operator controlled differential lock to limit wheel slip.

Note: Ordering entities may discuss this feature prior to ordering loaders.

Rear axle oscillation shall be ±10 degrees.

Steering:

Full hydraulic power, articulated frame.

Brakes:

Parking brake shall be of sufficient design to hold machine on a slope and prevent operation of the loader when engaged.

The parking brake shall be equipped with a visual or audible warning device or a method to prevent operation of the loader while engaged.

Service brakes shall be full power, enclosed, oil-bathed type.

Tires:

First run quality, all-purpose: 20.5-25 or manufacturer standard, radial, L3. Fenders shall be included.
