About this file

This is a submittal list template with review time estimates for construction services related to the rehabilitation of eight residences and museum buildings at Chapin Mesa for Mesa Verde National Park (MEVE project 218998). The document serves as both a planning tool for the Design Architect/Engineer during the Construction Documents phase and a workload estimation tool for the Construction Contracting Officer Representative and Architect/Engineer during the construction phase.

The template catalogs 227 total submittals across multiple construction divisions, including specialized historic preservation treatments for masonry, wood doors, windows, and plaster work, as well as hazardous material abatement for asbestos, lead-based paint, PCBs, and mercury. Major construction elements include concrete work, roofing systems, HVAC equipment, electrical systems, plumbing fixtures, fire suppression systems, and site utilities. The document estimates architect/engineer review times totaling 443 hours across various disciplines: 147 hours for architects, 95 hours for structural engineers, 65.5 hours for mechanical engineers, 28 hours for civil engineers, 22 hours for electrical engineers, 21 hours for fire engineers, and 10 hours for project management coordination. Review estimates are provided only for "Action" submittals that require government responsive action, while "Informational" submittals will be reviewed by the Construction Management Representative. The template is designed to help negotiate the submittal review portion of the Architect/Engineer Construction Services task order by applying hourly rates from the Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract.
