About this file
This document outlines environmental requirements and procedures for federal construction projects at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Alaska. Key requirements include preparing environmental protection plans, obtaining necessary permits, complying with regulations for hazardous materials, waste, and natural resources. The contractor must coordinate all activities potentially involving asbestos, lead, refrigerants, and cultural/archeological resources. Procedures are provided for spill response, recycling, and protecting air and water quality during construction. Relatedly, the Multiple Award Construction Contract is an IDIQ contract through the Department of the Air Force to provide multiple construction disciplines including repair, alteration, and construction of real property improvements at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson.
