About this file
This Performance Work Statement (PWS) details environmental services for Naval Air Station (NAS) Sigonella in Italy, primarily focusing on oil and hazardous substance (OHS) spill response, cleanup, and disposal. The contractor must provide personnel with appropriate training and qualifications to meet government generator permit requirements and comply with Italian national, regional, and local environmental regulations, as well as U.S. Department of Defense Environmental Final Governing Standards.
Key requirements include developing and submitting a health and safety plan, maintaining an OHS spill response and preparedness implementation plan, and responding to OHS work orders 24/7 within one hour. The contractor must prevent, contain, and clean up all contractor-caused spills, provide comprehensive documentation, and maintain an onsite inventory of spill response materials. The work encompasses five levels of OHS work orders ranging from up to 100 to 15,000 gallons, with specific response and equipment requirements. Performance standards emphasize regulatory compliance, timely response, and thorough documentation of all environmental services.
