About this file
This document package includes production drawings and plans for exhibit design services at the lower level of the Thomas Jefferson Memorial. The scope of work involves designing three exterior wayside exhibits that meet accessibility standards, as well as exhibits in the Memorial's basement and portico areas. The basement level designs must include an introductory graphic and tactile exhibit map, as well as exhibit structures and models to orient visitors and convey information about Jefferson and the Memorial. The portico level designs require additional exhibit structures and models. Accompanying the drawings are content plans, dimensioned floor plans, lighting and audio specifications, and perspective views of the proposed exhibits. A related federal contract opportunity from the National Park Service seeks exhibit planning and design services to implement the designs in the document package and improve visitor experience and programming at the Thomas Jefferson Memorial.

Electronics Only
The Solar Post Electronics can be provided to allow installation into your own structure.
This can be purchased with a single flat solar panel or two. When constructing your enclosure please ensure there is adequate drainage as the electronics are not designed to be submerged in water. We recommend a minimum of 10mm drainage hole within your structure.
When designing your structure ensure you install the solar panels so they will be in direct sunlight for the maximum amount of time during the day.

Supporting role
ERCO track deliver the energy required to light up rooms
ERCO track is more than a power source. The system provides a flex-ible infrastructure for luminaires, DALI or standard, that can move with your changing requirements.
Track are the anchor for your light-ing concept and are primarily designed for mounting on ceil-ings or walls, whereas the flanged track is designed for suspended ceilings or flush mounted using a plaster trim profile. Individual track lengths can be connected with each other so as to form rectangu-lar and other shapes.

Systematic diversity
The elegant and universal spot-light system for museums and shops
Light, not luminaires – this is the foundation on which the sleek, cylindrical shape of Parscan is mod-elled. Different lighting solutions can be implemented efficiently thanks to precise and flexible photometrics. If the spotlight is directed vertically downwards as a downlight, the support bracket merges into the cylindrical shape.
With its black housing, compact shape and a luminaire head that barely swivels out when rotated or tilted, the Parscan is also ideal for mounting in ceiling channels. The excellent glare control enhances visual comfort even in challenging lighting situations. Displaying a minimalist design, the luminaire appears unobtrusive in museums, shops or places of worship.

Spotlights Narrow spot, Spot, Flood α
Accentuation Parscan spotlights accentuate art-work, products and architectural details effectively. The ideal angle of tilt (y) for this is around 30°.
The object is modelled without distorting the effect as a result of excessive shadowing. It also prevents shadows cast by the observer.
Arrangement: y = 30°
Zoom spotlights Zoom spot, Zoom oval
Accentuation Zoom spotlights feature a continu-ously adjustable beam angle. With the spot to wide flood zoom range, smaller works of art can be accen-tuated effectively at an inclination angle (y) of approximately 30°.
The oval zoom is suitable for linear works of art. The object is modelled without distorting the effect as a result of excessive shadowing. It also prevents shadows cast by the observer.
Arrangement: y = 30°
Floodlights Wide flood, Extra wide flood, Oval flood α
Washlighting The ideal angle of tilt (y) for flood-lighting objects with a long, square shape, e.g. pictures, sculptures or merchandise displays, is around 30°.
Arrangement: y = 30°
Lens wallwashers Wallwash α
Wallwashing For uniform vertical illuminance, the distance (a) of Parscan lens wallwashers from the wall should be around one third of the room height (h). This results in an angle of tilt (y) of approx. 35°.
Arrangement: a = 1/3 x h or y = 35°
For good longitudinal uniformity, the spacing (d) of Parscan lens wallwashers may be up to 1.2 times the offset from the wall (a).
Arrangement: d ≤ 1.2 x a
The optimal wall offset and lumin-aire spacing for each product are indicated in the wallwasher tables in the catalogue and the product data sheets.
