About this file

This document is a Sources Sought notice from the U.S. AbilityOne Commission, seeking partnerships with U.S. commercial manufacturers of floor care products including floor stripper, floor cleaner, floor buffer, and floor polish. The goal is to add these products to the AbilityOne Procurement List under a co-brand agreement, in order to provide employment opportunities for people who are blind or severely disabled.

The notice outlines the specific product requirements, including meeting or exceeding FAR and other federal standards, as well as sustainable product criteria. Manufacturers must have a nationally known brand, be willing to provide technical/production assistance and enable the nonprofit agency to perform product assembly and packaging. Responses are due within 30 days and should demonstrate how the manufacturer will assist the nonprofit agency to expand its product line and increase blind work hours. The U.S. AbilityOne Commission is the federal agency involved, and preference will be given to manufacturers with a federal sales/marketing team.
