About this file
This document is a Sources Sought announcement from the AbilityOne Program, a designated central nonprofit agency, seeking potential partnerships with U.S. commercial manufacturers of floor care products such as floor stripper, cleaner, buffer, and polish. The goal is to add these products to the AbilityOne Procurement List under a co-brand agreement, which would provide employment opportunities for people who are blind or severely disabled.
The announcement outlines the specific product requirements, including meeting FAR and federal standards, as well as sustainability criteria such as USDA BioPreferred certification and ecolabels. Manufacturers must possess a nationally or industry-known brand, demonstrate their ability to assist the nonprofit agency in expanding its product line, and be willing to provide technical support and work with the AbilityOne Program to ensure fair and reasonable pricing. Manufacturers are required to submit responses within 30 days demonstrating how their proposed products meet the stated criteria and indicating the functions the nonprofit agency's employees would perform. The announcement is being issued on behalf of the U.S. AbilityOne Commission, the independent federal agency that administers the AbilityOne Program.
