About this file

This document is an Amendment to a Solicitation/Modification of Contract for the Kyle Health Center Modernization Project, issued by the Indian Health Service (IHS). The amendment provides detailed responses to 198 vendor questions and clarifies numerous aspects of the project, including scope of work, construction requirements, and pricing details. Key project elements include renovating bathrooms, replacing windows and storefronts, installing wall protection, refinishing wood beams and ceilings, replacing roofing on multiple buildings, and updating various interior systems.

The project involves comprehensive renovations at the Kyle Health Center, with work to be performed in phases while the facility remains operational. Significant scope includes removing and replacing ceramic tiles, installing new flooring and wall protection, updating electrical and data systems, replacing doors and hardware, and performing selective demolition and reconstruction. The amendment specifies detailed requirements for wall protection (48" height), vinyl base (4" required), and clarifies that all exterior windows and storefronts will receive commercial window film. The entire price schedule will be awarded, and contractors must provide pricing for all line items. The project requires careful coordination with the facility to minimize disruption to ongoing medical operations.

Response: One is scheduled to start on October 6, 2025. The report will not be available until after MATOC award. No, the contractor is not required to bid this survey.

3. Wall Protection: Per note 09‐04, sheet A101, the contractor shall install InPro wall protection, color TBD or equivalent. Sheet A101 doesn’t identify where wall protection is to be installed. Please advise.

Response: Updated Drawings. All areas outlined in RED shall get wall protection. The wall protection shall be installed on the gypsum wall and not the CMU wall.

4. Sheet A101 indicates the notes in the upper right‐hand corner, but doesn’t delineate on the floor plan where the notes apply. Please advise.

Response: Updated Drawings. All areas highlighted in GREEN are to receive new materials.
