About this file
This document provides responses to contractor questions regarding a federal solicitation for construction services. The General Services Administration's Northwest/Arctic Region is seeking proposals for an Eastern Multiple Award Task Order Contract to provide construction projects in federally owned and leased facilities in Eastern Washington, Eastern Oregon, and Idaho. The contract term is five years with a maximum value of $70 million to be awarded across six contracts. Task order solicitations will use various project delivery methods, including design-bid-build and design-build, for tenant improvements, building repairs, and exterior work valued between $25,000 to $5 million. Responses clarify that engineered drawings are not required, unknown waste can be disposed of through the city sewer system with required approvals, and the existing sump pump does not need replacement for bidding purposes.

RFP 47PL0122R0035 EMATOC & 47PL0122R0041 Sump Pump Seed Project Pre-Proposal Requests For Information (RFI) and Responses 3
1.) Question: Has the city of Spokane approved dumping an unknown quantity into the city sewer system?
Answer: Required notifications and/or approvals from the City of Spokane will be addressed by GSA.
2.) Question: Although not noted in the requirements, but stated in the project title, is it the expectation of the project to have engineered stamped drawings?
Answer: No, engineered stamped drawings will not be required. Refer to the Statement of Work (SOW), Section 2.1 on which 'Shop Drawings' are required.
3.) Question: The pictures of the sump in the elevator floor show it to be in poor shape.
We didn’t get the opportunity to inspect the sump ourselves and can’t be certain from the pictures of its structural integrity. For bidding purposes should we assume we will need to remove the existing one and build a new one?
Answer: For the purpose of bidding, assume the existing sump does NOT need to be replaced.
