RFP#: 47PD0225R0055

Due Date: August 25, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. ET CMS Back on Campus Phase 4

RFI # Request for Clarification/Interpretation Response Date 1 Mechanical Scope & Site Coordination

Do you have the specification for the insulation thickness for the piping and ductwork that will be used on the CMS HQ Phase 4 job? We want to make sure we’re aligned with the mechanical scope of the project.

Will there be a walk-through scheduled for subcontractors to get a better layout of the job site? A field visit would help us verify pipe routing, access points, and any issues that might occur.

Pre-proposal site visit was Thursday 8/14/25. If additional site visits required, please submit a request with an updated site visit form 2 business days before requested site visit.

Refer to 220719-3.13 and 230713-3.9 & 3.10 for piping and ductwork insulation thickness.

8/28/25

2 Logistics & Access What is the size of the freight elevators?

North & South Freight Elevators: 8'-0" length (1.5" crash rail on each side so 7'-9"clear) x 5'-9" width (2.5" crash rail on each side so 5'-4" clear) x 9'-5" tall with door opening 3'-11.5" wide x 7'-0" tall and capacity=4,500 lbs.

Central Freight Elevator: 7'-4" length (1.5" crash rail on each side so 7'-1"clear)x 9'-9" width (2.5" crash rail on each side so 9'-4" clear) x 9'-10" tall with door opening 4'-11" wide x 8'-5" tall and capacity=8,000 lbs. All measurements are approximate.

Use Dover White 7197-58 for cabinet interiors. 8/28/25

5 Please confirm if Line Items #1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 will run concurrently. Confirmed. The government is assuming multiple line items running concurrently, but the sequence and phasing is means and methods as long as it meets the restrictions in attachment "00 CMS Phase 4 SOW Cover Sheet".

102 The updated pricing sheet provided in Amendment 5 does not match the information shown on the drawings. For example, the conference room breakdown does not include any space for bathrooms, even though bathrooms are shown in that area. Additionally, the bathroom counts do not align with what we see in the drawings: the South Building is listed as having 6 bathrooms, but we counted 8, and the Central Building is listed as having 9, but we counted 8.

Are we permitted to modify the pricing form to reflect the actual counts? We want to ensure our pricing is accurate and consistent with the project documents. Can we add line items for the missing bathrooms in the conference center, or can the Government provide a revised form for us to use?

The restroom on C1 in the Conferencing space should be under Line Item #1B not under Line Item 2.

The restrooms are as follows:

Line Item 1A: South Building = 6 sets of restrooms South Building North and South riser floors 1, 2, 3 Line Item 1B: North Building = 9 sets of restrooms Central Building East Riser floors LL,3,4,5 (4 sets on east riser) Central Building West Riser floors 1,2,3,4,5 (5sedts on west riser) Line Item 1C: Auditorium on floor 1 = 1 set of restrooms
