About this file
This document is a Pre-Product Data submittal (Submittal #28 20 00-3.1) for a video surveillance system component of the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies Phase 3 Development project. The submittal, dated May 6, 2024, includes technical product documentation for various access control and surveillance equipment such as door contacts (Sentrol 2505A-L), access control cables, media converters, card readers, and other related hardware. The submittal was prepared by Jim Costner of C&C Contractors, LLC and involves product data for fiber, monitors, rack, and signage components, with an initial due date of May 27, 2024 and a final returned date of August 14, 2024.
The submitted materials include detailed technical specifications for items like the Axis T8604 Media Converter Switch, HID iCLASS card readers, RS2 Technologies access control panels (LP-1502 and MR-52-S3), electric strikes, and various cable and connectivity components. The documentation provides comprehensive technical details including electrical specifications, mounting requirements, communication protocols, and environmental operating conditions for each device. The submittal is part of a larger Department of Veterans Affairs contract (36C10F19C0002) for the cemetery development project, with the specific video surveillance submittal focusing on providing precise technical documentation for the proposed security infrastructure.

2505A-L Industrial aluminium surface mount with steel armored cable
Industrial Contact
The Sentrol 2500 series are designed to be installed in commercial and industrial environments where a rugged sealed unit is required. It is ideal for metal doors, overhead doors, fences and gates. Each model features a high strength extruded aluminum housing and is completely encapsulated in Sentrol's exclusive polyurethane potting compound.
Durability and dependability
The Sentrol high performance magnetic contacts have been designed to facilitate installation and ensure durability and dependability. Most are conservatively rated at 10,000,000 cycles, guaranteeing a long life. Every reed connection is hand soldered and each magnetic contact is tested before they leave the factory, 100% of the time.
High quality components and materials
Reed legs are plated with rhodium or ruthenium, and hermetically sealed in dry nitrogen. This offers superior protection against sticking and provides a moisture free environment therefore preventing corrosion.

AXIS T8604 Media Converter Switch Converts Ethernet to fiber 12 V DC
AXIS T8604 Media Converter Switch allows Axis video products to connect to the network using standard network or fiber optic cables that help lower the cost of installing the cameras over long distances.
Perfect for city surveillance, airports and other long dis-tance installations, AXIS T8604 Media Converter Switch is a DIN-mounted device that can convert an Ethernet signal to be used over optical fiber cable. Surveillance in-tegrators in the field can also connect installation moni-tors and laptops to AXIS T8604 for camera maintenance and control.
The media converter switch can be connected in a daisy chain network. The maximum number of cameras that can be connected in the daisy chain depends on the generated bitrate per camera. The limitations are the 100 Mbit link between camera and media converter switch, and the 1000 Mbit link between the media converter switches. AXIS T8604 does not feature IGMP Snooping.
An Axis camera/encoder connects to AXIS T8604 us-ing an Ethernet cable, and through the media converter switch and data is provided to the network video prod-uct. Two SFP slots give installers the flexibility to con-nect the cameras cost-effectively to the network over long distances. The RJ45 connectors can also be used for connection to complementary cameras or temporar-ily to a laptop to service the system locally.

If 5/32" spacer is used, as in Kawneer applications, cut length is 1-23/32" for a 1-3/4" thick door.
NOTE!
If necessary, change key function to hold back (HB).2
Device is set at factory for night latch (NL) function.
To convert to HB, perform Steps 2.1-2.3.
For NL function, skip Steps 2.1-2.3 and go to Step 3.
NOTE!
2.1. Remove the set screw from the drive
bushing assembly using 0.050" Allen wrench supplied in PKG.133.
2.2. Rotate internal drive bushing
counterclockwise until it stops against the internal stop.
2.3. Maintain position of drive bushing
and continue.

These instructions are for touchbar dogging of new style DOM 1790 devices. New style devices have two cover screws installed vertically into the center case cover. (Old style devices have four cover screws installed horizontally into the center case cover.)
NOTE!
EL (electric latch retraction) devices cannot be mechanically dogged using the touchbar. If mechanical hold back is required in addition to electric latch hold back, use the pull side HB key cylinder option.
NOTE!
1. Depress touchbar with hand and maintain pressure on touchbar.
2. Insert dogging key into hole on touchbar.
3. Rotate key approximately 1/8 turn clockwise.
4. Release pressure on touchbar (touchbar will remain depressed to door).

8. If hinge stile has not been prepared for channel hinge stile 1/4-20 mounting screws:
Place hinge stile end cap into hinge end of channel. Drill through the center of end cap slots using a letter "I" drill. These two holes will be used to transfer location of mounting screw holes to hinge stile when device is applied to door.
If hinge stile has been prepared for channel hinge stile 1/4-20 mounting screws:
Using end cut from channel in Step 3 as a template, place backs of channel sections against each other and align ends. Mark slot pattern on the cut-down channel. Following all safety precautions, use a drill and aluminum saw to cut slots in cut-down channel section.

The stylish windstorm resistant, surface mounted solution.
The 9600 Series Electric Strike is a windstorm resistant, surface mounted electric strike designed to accommodate rim exit devices with a 3/4" throw Pullman latchbolt. All components are completely encased within its 3/4" thick stainless steel housing, so no cutting on the frame is required for installation. Simply place the electric strike on the surface of the frame, align it with the exit latchbolt and install.
Adjustments have never been easier as the base is now separate from the cover.
It is field selectable for fail secure or fail safe operation, and for 12 or 24 VDC.
The 9600 is a surface mounted electric strike designed with the strength and durability required to exceed the severe forces of ANSI Windstorm testing.
