About this file
Addendum #5 for RFQ 25-69-1514 is issued by Forsyth County Procurement for a Progressive Design-Build Big Creek Greenway Rehabilitation project in Georgia. The Request for Qualifications (RFQ) was initially solicited on June 18, 2025, with this addendum dated August 21, 2025. The document provides clarifications and additional information for bidders, including a newly added Hydrology Report with Appendices. The project is a design-build approach where the Design-Build (DB) Team will be responsible for project design, with construction activity costs to be developed during the Preliminary Stage Work as part of a Guaranteed Maximum Price.
The addendum addresses several key questions from potential bidders, including clarifications on technical proposal page limits (Part 4: Proposer's Experience and Capabilities is confirmed at 7 total pages), confirmation that construction materials testing and inspection will be provided by the County, and the provision of the Bethelview Trailhead Hydrology Report with its accompanying appendices. The document emphasizes that this is a Progressive Design-Build project, meaning the design team will have significant responsibility for developing the project's technical specifications and approach, with costs to be finalized during the preliminary stage of work.

# Questions Answers
1. We are unable to confirm the distance the engineers are requiring the helicals per each stretch/section of boardwalk in each phase (every six feet, eight feet or ten feet?). The only spec we can see is that the WIDTH of the boardwalk requires two helicals twelve feet apart. We just need the distances required for the LENGTH so that we can accurately estimate the number of helical piers necessary to price out the job.
Please refer to the responses provided in Addendum #4.
This is a Progressive Design-Build project. DB Team is responsible for the project design. Costs for construction activities will be developed at the Preliminary Stage Work as part of the Guaranteed Maximum Price.
