About this file
This is a Request for Proposals (RFP) issued by the Forsyth County Department of Capital Projects for Progressive Design/Build Services for the Big Creek Greenway Rehabilitation, Phases 2&3, 4, and Bethelview Trailhead. The project involves rehabilitation and construction services for a multi-phase greenway and trailhead project, with a site visit scheduled for July 15, 2025. Proposers are required to submit comprehensive technical and price proposals via the Bonfire online platform by the specified deadline. The project is divided into two primary stages: a Preliminary Stage (to be completed within 120 days after Notice to Proceed) and a Completion Stage with substantial completion targeted for October 31, 2027, and final completion by December 31, 2027.
The RFP requires proposers to submit detailed technical proposals covering project approach, key personnel capabilities, company experience, and a project schedule. The evaluation will be conducted using a 100-point scale, with points allocated across technical (85 points) and price (15 points) criteria. Proposers must include a Preliminary Stage stipulated price and a Completion Stage fee percentage. The RFP mandates proposal security in the form of a 5% bond, and contractors must comply with E-Verify requirements and provide documentation of work authorization. Proposers are expected to demonstrate experience with parks and recreation projects, with specific requirements for multi-use trail or boardwalk experience and design-build delivery method familiarity.
