procedures and functional testing do not relieve or lessen this responsibility or shift that responsibility partially to the Commissioning Agent or Owner.

B. Functional testing is intended to begin upon completion of a system. Functional testing may proceed prior to the completion of systems or sub-systems at the discretion of the GC and CxA.

Beginning system testing before full completion does not relieve the Contractor from fully completing the system, including all prefunctional checklists as soon as possible.

3.02 EQUIPMENT/SYSTEMS TO BE COMMISSIONED

A. The work included in the commissioning process involves a complete and thorough evaluation of the operation and performance of all components, systems and sub-systems. The CxA with assistance from the installing Contractors will evaluate the equipment and systems during the commissioning process. The specific systems and subsystems to be commissioned are listed below:

1. HVAC & R Systems and associated controls

2. Domestic hot water systems

3. Lighting and daylighting controls

4. DDC Components related to the above

5. Building Automation System

3.03 SAMPLE COMMISSIONING DOCUMENTATION

A. The following documents are sample prefunctional and functional test. The purposes of these sample documents are to provide the Contractors a reference for the amount of effort that will be needed to document the commissioning process. Project specifics prefunctional checklists and functional performance test will be provided at a later date.

B. Sample Prefunctional Checklist follows after end of this section.

C. Sample Functional Performance Test follows after end of this section.
