About this file
This document includes a technical specification section for an acoustical tile ceiling and the related federal contract opportunity solicitation. The technical specification outlines the acoustical tile and metal suspension system requirements, including product data and samples to be submitted, seismic performance standards, surface burning characteristics, available manufacturers and basis of design products, tile properties, suspension system properties and accessories. It also provides instructions for preparation, installation and field quality control.
The related federal contract opportunity is a solicitation from the Department of Agriculture Forest Service to construct a fire operations center. It intends to award a single firm fixed price contract governed by the FAR for the acquisition and construction of a warehouse structure located thirty miles west of the intersection of M-37 and M-55 in Wellston, Michigan.
