UNSPSC 52141807: Folding fan

An implement which is hand-held and waved by the hand to produce the wind or blow up the fire.

UNSPSC 52141807 Folding fan (Commodity) shows minimal recent state and local procurement activity aligned with the code's nominal scope. Of seven recent opportunities tagged under this code, only two address portable cooling fans—misting fan/cooler units procured by Collier County, Florida in April and May 2026 through Quick Quote processes, with technical specifications for emergency management use. The remaining opportunities involve exhaust fans, ceiling fans, law enforcement equipment, janitorial supplies, and a departmental relocation notice, none of which correspond to folding fan procurement. The two relevant solicitations target emergency preparedness applications rather than general consumer or facility use, with units sized for temperature control in disaster shelters and evacuation centers.

Recent activity concentrates in Florida, with Collier County issuing two separate Quick Quote solicitations (QQ2026096 in April 2026 and QQ2026119 in April–May 2026) for two misting fan units each, both budgeted at approximately $16,000 and intended to supplement existing equipment. No other state or local issuing body has posted a folding fan procurement under this code in the recent record. The code shows little active demand at the present time and does not appear to reflect routine state or local procurement patterns for the cooling fan category.
